FAQ
Who are horseback riding trips for?
Our expeditions are designed primarily for adults looking for an active holiday in the saddle.
People aged 16 and over can participate in the expedition under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
At Equi Expeditions, we know that age is just a number, which is why we do not have an upper age limit.
Horseback riding is pure pleasure, but it’s worth remembering that a multi-day trip is a form of active recreation.
If you’re healthy and generally mobile, our trips are definitely for you!
If you haven’t been in the saddle for a while, we suggest a few refresher rides before your trip – your body will definitely thank you for it during the trip.
Yes, for the health and well-being of our horses, we have adopted a rider weight limit of 110 kg.
Our expeditions take us through very diverse terrain, often requiring climbing hills and long distances. The appropriate ratio of rider weight to the horse’s physical capabilities is crucial to avoid overloading our mounts, which are our most important travel partners.
Preparation for the expedition
Security
Safety is our priority, so we take a first aid kit with basic medical equipment on every trip.
For your personal comfort, we encourage you to bring a few of your own essentials, such as sunscreen, insect repellent, or plasters for abrasions.
Organization and reservations
Group sizes depend on the chosen destination. The smallest groups usually have around 8 people, while the largest can have up to 18 participants. The exact number always depends on the specific route and the nature of the expedition.
